ON CAMPUS INTERNSHIPS:
Internships are on campus, unpaid, for at least 10 hours a week for a full semester or entire school year, between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. There is limited evening or weekend availability for internship hours. Interns may not start on campus until they have completed a criminal background check, an application, and attended an information session. Interns must be participating in a school program. At the Intern Information Session you will learn about a potential education award through AmeriCorps.

If approved for our program, you may be given instructions from our internship coordinator for an interview with a Program Manager at a campus location. Following this campus interview you may receive further instructions regarding our required information sessions and training.
OFF-CAMPUS INTERNSHIPS:
Communities In Schools sometimes has openings for Internships in the Volunteer Department, Partnerships Department, Communications Department, and at the CIS Central Office. These internships have varied hours and the location is the CIS Central Office at 3000 South IH-35, Suite 200, Austin, Texas.
